Simply Brilliant

Author: Fergus O'Connell

Description

You need Fergus O’Connell’s Simply Brilliant. Are you needlessly complicating your business decisions by paying too much attention to skill, management knowledge, experience or philosophies? None of these things, argues O’Connell, can hold a match to good old common sense.

Review

From one viewpoint this is a book about projects, from another it is about the common sense that is not all that common. A set of practical, and very readable, ‘essays’ on how to get things done with others.

I first picked it up at random from a railway bookshop and have re read it several times since. Keeps my feet firmly on the ground!

When running projects for clients I also recommend it to any team members who are new to project work. It can be quite a relief for them as it helps to de-mystify the way that projects operate.
